- An introduction to the language of health economics and the various analyses that can be undertaken.
- A view of how some other countries approach health payments, insurance and economics.
- A view of primary care finance.

- The outline of expenditure on health in the UK and the costs of primary care.
- How quality adjusted life years work and what they mean.
- How some other healthcare economies work and the impact of their approach on patients and health.
- The concepts of income and expenditure in primary care.
