Goals

During this course you will learn:

• How to recognize non-bullous and bullous impetigo.
• How to treat impetigo.
• What advice to provide about self-care measures and prevention of transmission.
• When to consider the possibility of infection due to meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
• How to assess recurrent impetigo and consider causes such as staphylococcal carriage.
• When to refer people with impetigo.
