Biography
Dr Sarah Taylor
Sarah is a salaried GP working in Manchester. She is a GP Lead for GatewayC and also the Associate Medical Director for Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance. Sarah’s special interests include early cancer diagnosis, student health and medical student education.
Professor Matthew Evison MD MRCP (Respiratory Medicine) MBChB
Matthew qualified from Manchester University Medical School in 2004, undertaking specialist training in Respiratory Medicine from 2008 to 2014 including a two-year fellowship in Thoracic Oncology at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, completing an MD degree in lung cancer diagnostics.
He was appointed as a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (Thoracic Oncology) at Wythenshawe Hospital in 2014 and was clinical Director for Lung Cancer for Greater Manchester Cancer from 2017 to 2023. In 2023 he was appointed as Associate Medical Director for the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance and Clinical Lead for the Greater Manchester regional tobacco control programme ‘Making Smoking History’.
Matthew is a member of the British Thoracic Society Lung Cancer & Mesothelioma Specialist Advisory Group (SAG), and a Member of the British Thoracic Oncology Group Steering Committee. He is MASHC Honorary Clinical Chair at the Faculty of Biology, Medicine & Health at the University of Manchester.
