Overview

• This module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete including the links to a short video demonstrating the technique of phlebotomy. 
• There is also a five question multiple choice questionnaire to demonstrate your knowledge of the subject.

• Why we take blood from patients.
• Why it is important to plan ahead when taking blood samples.
• What elements form part of the phlebotomy procedure.
• What equipment is needed to undertake phlebotomy.
• Where else to look for help and advice.
