Overview

This module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and includes the following elements.

    • Aetiology of sore throats, common and uncommon infectious causes and non-infectious causes of sore throat, and the possible complications.
  • Diagnosis
    • Information about signs and symptoms and the use of diagnostic criteria such as FeverPAIN criteria and Centor score.

Goals

During this course you will learn to:

  • Diagnose the likely cause of a sore throat.
  • Understand the use of clinical prediction scores.
  • Understand the possible differential diagnoses.
