• About the prevalence of diabetes in the UK.
• About the complications of diabetes.
• What actions individuals can take to reduce their risk of complications from diabetes. 
• About possible signs and symptoms of diabetes and how it is diagnosed.
• How diabetes is managed and monitored.
• How to manage hypoglycaemia.
• To signpost individuals, families and carers to advice, support and information about diabetes.
