  • The science of ionising radiation including the principles of radiation protection.
  • The benefits and risks of examinations which can be requested and the ionising radiation dose levels for different types of examination.
  • The relevant parts of the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017. 
  • Your responsibilities in relation to patient safety and clinical governance.
  • Your professional and legislative responsibilities.
  • A multiple choice questionnaire to assess your learning.
