Overview

This module will take approximately 90 minutes to complete and includes the following elements. 

  • It is designed for all primary care staff to assist with their understanding of the principles relating to the concepts of learning disability and autism awareness and the practice of these concepts in the context of primary care.
  • Contains a case study and multiple-choice questions.
  • Contains a list of resources for further reading.
  • Contains a list of signposted resources for people and carers.
    • Satisfies the core capabilities framework tier 2 e-learning requirements for supporting people with autism and people with learning disabilities.

  • How to make reasonable adjustments to help a person with learning disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.​
  • Where to signpost people and carers for help and support.​
  • Where to look for further help and advice.​
